900 Kilometres of Rugged Trails in 27 Days - My Personal Accounts
Over 27 days, I ran 882 kilometres. This is my personal account. Starting on November 12th 2023, I had a goal in mind of reaching the end of The Bruce Trail in Ontario, Canada by November 21st 2023. My plan was ambitious, my motives were high and I was prepared for the best. While my journey did not turn out the least like I expected, it turned out the most like I needed. With sunny skies and warm weather at the beginning of November, I started out exactly as I was expecting. The trails at the Southern sections of my hike were rolling, with minimal roots and rocks. The leaves had already fallen and were damped down from other hikers. For the first 450 kilometres, it was a relatively easy hike; mind you having a 25+ pound backpack was a factor, it only started to play a role physically at the very end. Coming to the 450 kilometre mark, I had figured that the worst was behind me....
